Crispy Baked Honey Garlic Chicken
Ingredients:
2 large chicken breasts, sliced in half lengthwise
2 eggs, beaten
1 cup panko bread crumbs
Salt and pepper to taste
4 tablespoons honey
2 tablespoons soy sauce
4 cloves garlic, minced
1 teaspoon apple cider vinegar
1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
Directions:
Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).
Season the chicken breasts with salt and pepper.
Dip each chicken slice into the beaten eggs, then coat with panko bread crumbs. Place the chicken slices on a baking sheet.
Bake in the preheated oven for about 25-30 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through and crispy.
While the chicken is baking, prepare the sauce by combining honey, soy sauce, garlic, apple cider vinegar, and red pepper flakes in a saucepan. Bring to a simmer over medium heat and cook until slightly thickened, about 5-7 minutes.
Once the chicken is done, drizzle with the honey-garlic sauce.
